I missed it
I had a nightmare journey that year, car broke down twice and I eventually abandoned it and got the train... I was just putting my tent up during the encores
Sounds like you had a bit of a c**p time fella.
One of those stories you can tell your grandkids

Oh goody a steeleye thread!
Im a big fan and have grown up on steeleye span music, they are also largely to blame for me meeting my fiancee (getting married next year, and yes.. there will be a hefty number of steeleye songs on the music list for the reception)
Anyhow, enough gushing :-)
Hi everyone by the way, im a newb :-)

A point maybe worth noting is that Mike Batt who was one of the original Wombles also produced several of Steeleye's albums and there is the link

To have a real steeleye thread, awesome. After all the past years there will always be things to discuss. For instance i recently asked Peter a question that i,d wanted to knowthe answer to for years.Namely , is your violin the original one,the answer was no, he had several over the years some had been stolen some had been broken. By the way ,welcome to Log [lois] happy posting.

I'm still grinning from ear to ear, since finding this forum a few days ago, finally, after so many years not knowing it even existed.
