Still doing this, so here's two great gigs for next year.

Very excited that the wonderful Linde Nijland is coming over from Holland to sing the songs of Sandy Denny. This will be on Thursday 19th April.

The brilliant Blackbeard's Tea Party will be back on Friday 25th May.

Both gigs at the Musician, Leicester.

Arghh, would've loved to come down for Blackbeard's, but we'll be at Bearded Theory.

Quick reminder that Vikki Clayton is at the Musician next Thursday 28th July. Unlike most of the tour this is a full band gig, with some great musicians guesting.

Support is Steve Parker, whom I'm sure you'll remember from the sadly missed Acorn Fayre.

Edit: Added to calendar. Assumed date was June, hope this is correct. Paul

Something a bit different from my usual gigs this Sunday 16th September. Hands off Gretel are one of the best young bands I have seen in recent years, so I am delighted that they are playing the Musician. Local favourites Flying Kangaroo Alliance are providing support.

Last gig of the year this Thursday at the Musician and it's going to be a good one. Two wonderful young acts, Kelly Oliver and Hattie Briggs both doing full sets.

Didn't they play at Cropredy a few years ago? I seem to remember them being a lot of fun!

No, that was Joe Broughton's Conservatoire Folk Orchestra.  But the Blackbeard's were great fun.  Would love to see them again.  Would also like to see Kim Lowings again - she played at Trinity Folk Festival in Guildford a couple of years ago, and I was very impressed.  Shame Leicester is a bit too far away (that may be the only context in which I would write that sentence!).

Kim Lowings is fantastic, anyone within distance and with an evening to spare should go see. Always a good gig.
