I was lucky enough to watch Loudon Wainwright last night at Richard Thompson's meltdown - amazing!
He played a song on the piano, something about playing songs in the key of C, which totally blew me away. I'd never heard this song before - does anyone know what it is, or if it is available?
I must dig out all the old Loudon records - I'd forgotton just what an honest and powerful songwriter he is!
Thanks in advance
Adam

Yeah, that was one of my favourites too, but I can't seem to find it on his albums that are on Spotify (for shame, I only own Album III). But, here's a clip of him doing it on You Tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=MX&hl=es-MX&v=ZKtKn5Et524

There's a much wittier songwriter whom I love considerably more than either/both of them

Just found out the wasp I killed yesterday was a wasp cop who was too old for this s**t and only one week away from retirement. Feel awful.

I'd be extremely disappointed if Toy Story were the only song that people know of Randy Newman, Jesus.
It's not as if he hasn't been recording very long is it. First great album was late sixties and every one since its equal if not better.

He's never topped "Political Science" IMO, although he's come close a few times. His delivery takes a little getting used to ...

His delivery takes a little getting used to ... Well, we've had forty years to become accustomed to it.
