Yesterday, down the road a piece ... (I didn't make it, though)

Love the Jimmy Cliff "Harder They Come".  Looks like it should make a fine DVD.  Smiley

Apparently there's a Newsweek Grateful Dead special magazine that will be available worldwide.  Looks good.  I had a quick hunt for it today, but no sign yet.

Got my ticket for the cinema screening on 6th July (Gloucester Guildhall, 6.15pm) - chap at the box office said there's been quite a bit of interest from the general Glos/Chelt/Ciren area...

Can't decide whether to go to the Vue in Worcester, Gloucester Guildhall, or the Savoy Theatre in Monmouth. Although I'd prefer to use an independent venue, The Vue is supposed to be very comfy, I don't know the other two. Four hours is a long time so any idea what they may be like for creaky old bones?  Smiley

Ian - I've never been into the cinema part of the Guildhall - the main concert room is usually standing only for (rock) gigs.

But it appears the cinema is housed within the former council chambers...

Looks like it might be reasonably comfy?

Thanks Paul. Love the springy Guildhall floor, perfect for Oysterband gigs! But the cinema bit looks quite intimate, with a bar & free parking. The swingometer is shifting!  Smiley

Ludicrous indeed, but the Netflix biopic of Bob Weir the article cites is well worth a watch...

Well, we have a buyer....my mate Kevin (long time UK Deadhead...spent a lot of time following them Stateside in the 80's especially.  He has Brent issues...I've even known him to willingly play compilations of his songs) clearly has more money than sense.  He's said I can come and stroke his mighty box when it arrives.  I find the whole thing rather upsetting tbh.

I think I may have to feel satisfied enough with the 4 disc distillation.  Just seen the tracklisting and it looks tasty:-
