Hope its OK to post this here...

For my GCSE Art project, I produced a poster on Morris dancing. We were asked to produce a piece of work with the theme of image and text. This was around the time of the “Mass Morris Extinction” so I saw this as a fantastic opportunity to promote the Morris and to show that it was alive and well. I’ve always loved the transport posters from the early 20th century, especially those from the 1930s, so married my love of Morris and of transport posters together into a piece of art.

During July 2009, I spent two weeks working at Headway Cambridgeshire for my work experience. Headway is a charity that helps people who have suffered head injuries and their families. Having enjoyed my time there so much and having gained so much from it, I decided I wanted to give something back. Around the same time, the poster was nearing completion; people who saw it said that I should get prints made and sell them.  So, naturally, the thought occurred to me to give part of the money to Headway.

The posters are £5 each plus £2 P&P and are A3 in size on top quality professional paper. They would make a perfect Christmas present!  Roll Eyes If you would like one, please email me (address in my profile) with your name and address so I can send them out ASAP.

Morris on!

I have a copy of this poster and it's excellent.  It will be displayed prominently in the house!
