How light becomes the soul

Seeing as I saw them last night, and had a great time.
How about for the tribute band spot, the Alter Eagles. They don't waste time trying to look like the Eagles, they put all their energy into superb musicianship.
They also have a Fairport Connection.  Smiley

Took me several minutes of serious head scratching to see what the Fairport Connection was, but I got there in the end!

Do they only limit themselves to the Bernie Leadon years then?  No?  Oh dear....

Arlo Guthrie?  Oh, yes please....would love that.

Arlo Guthrie and The Proclaimers would be great, but an Eagles tribute, oh dear!!
I'd have to get mortal to cope with both them and Bellowhead.
They'll be asking for Collins and Steely Dan next.

I would have pulled you up on that at one time, until I saw Steely Dan live at the NEC in 2001. They were self-indulgent, used "ghost" artists to play their instruments for them and were generally not what I would have expected from one of the top bands of the 70s. Very disappointed.

They still created some of my favourite music tho, so I'd be happy with a SD tribute in the tribute band slot.
