New tour and album http://www.madfishmusic.com/artists/gong/

Can anybody explain quite how this is Gong, and on whose authority?  Surely if Gong 'belongs' to anybody it is Orlando?

Looks like much of the line-up that recorded I See You. I guess (hope) Orlando has given his blessing/backing to their continuation.

It just doesn't look or feel like 'Gong' to me.  Not sure why it bugs me but it does...maybe a prefix...Gong have had plenty of them (New York, Mother, Pierre's etc), hasn't it? Something Gong?  Er, Almost Gong?  I'll get my coat....

Both Daevid before he dies and Orlando supported this new incarnation of Gong. When I first saw them live I had doubts, but this is still definitely Gong. There new album is supposed to also be really good. I will definitely be going to see them in Leicester.

Talking to Kavus at other gigs they take the responsibility seriously and really care what other members of Gong and the fans think.

Gong Going Gone?  Wink

Still waiting for new of the Universal release of the Radio Gnome trilogy from the real, actual master tapes. To me, the obvious people to mix & master would be Messrs Hillage and Blake - with input from Orlando?

I certainly wouldn't buy the Charly edition.

Banana nirvana. By the way, the official box set is a thing of beauty, a joy to behold & 'awesome' to hear.  Grin
