This months Record Collector has an article written by Kingsley Abbott about Ashley Hutchings, it has one or two interesting insights. There is also a section about Hawkwind and space rock for those who enjoy such things!

This issue arrived at work today. One of the more interesting points made by Ashley was the "jazzy" influences ( I don´t really remember how his words fell) in the early Fairport Convention. Several tracks on the first album, among them "Ribbon Bow" and "The Lobster" most certainly has a jazzy feel to them.
