Hallo!  I'll do this the old fashioned way, as that's always the most polite manner to do it in (copy n paste...)

1.   Who are you and where are you from?

Well, I'm Paul, and I'm from Brampton in Cumbria

2.   What made you join Talkawhile?

I'm a mandolin player and rather like folk music, and in the UK, so I thought I'd mash them all into one place, and here you are!

3.   What do you know of Fairport Convention and/or Cropredy if anything?

I've heard of them, that's about it :/

4.   What kind of music do you like?

I like Rock, Folk, Folkrock and ambient techno (I know, quite a clash...)

5.   What was the last gig/festival/recital/concert that you attended?  What was it like?

Hadrians Union, a mates band, and it was in a brewery.  What's not to like?

6.   What was the last CD that you bought?  Would you recommend it?

Hadrians Union: Out of Time.  And yes.  Yes I would (and not just 'cos it's me mate).

7.   Complete the following sentence:
“Tonight, Sir Robert, I am going to be my all time favourite singer Freddie Mercury and I will
sing:  'My Life Has Been Saved'

How's that then?

Welcome, Paul! I think you'll like it here (and you'll find many, many people who can tell you all about the wonders of Fairport if you so wish  Wink ).

Hello Sir Robert, very honoured to meet you!
In answer to you're questions....,
1) my name is Barbara Elizabeth Scrivens (aka B) and a morris dancing 'Mutineer' from landlocked Leicestershire!
2) I joined TAW after reading a post on the 'Fairporters' group page on Facebook & being a nosey chatty sort of a person, wondered what it was all about.
3) 40 odd years of knowledge.
4) fave types of music is mainly folk with a bit of 'umph'
5) went to 'Folk by the Oak' last w/e going to Cropredy next w/e, Folkeast the following w/e & Shrewsbury FF the w/e after that! Phew
6) last cd I purchased was 'the Elizabethan Sessions'
7) unfortunately, Sir Robert, I can't sing as such but I can belt out a rather croaky 'Meet on the Legde'!
Thank you for reading my list, and I hope to meet you very soon x
