1.   Who are you and where are you from?
I'm Carl and I'm from Whittlesey via Windsor

2.   What made you join Talkawhile?
My wife Zoe (then girlfriend)

3.   What do you know of Fairport Convention and/or Cropredy if anything?
Been to the last 7 Cropredys, have more Fairport albums than any sane person would buy, came to Fairport via Babbacombe Lee, which I found in a record library many years ago

4.   What kind of music do you like?
Folk, Rock, anything melodic with a story to tell

5.   What was the last gig/festival/recital/concert that you attended?  What was it like?
Otley Festival - Small festival with a lot of talented locals performing

6.   What was the last CD that you bought?  Would you recommend it?
The optimistically titled Roger Davies Live vol 1 - yes Roger is a wonderful singer songwriter

7.   Complete the following sentence:
“Tonight, Sir Robert, I am going to be my all time favourite singer ……. (name of singer) and I will
sing:  ' ................................'   (name of song)

I'm very fickle and what ever I put this now I would put someone else in half an hour but for now Paul McCartney singing Eleanor Rigby

Hi,

I am new to this forum and would just like to say hi and intoduce myself. I am the bass player for Flutatious, a 6 piece folk, rock, dance band from NW London. You can check out what we do at www.flutatious.co.uk

Hope you like what you see and hear.

Respect....Bill

Welcome Bill, I've had the Flutatious CD since it came out and it still gets regular plays. Haven't managed to catch you live yet. Probably have to book you sometime for the Musician.

Hi Andy,

nice to be here, some really interesting stuff on this forum, glad you like the cd. We have been up your way a few times this year, well more Derbyshire and Lincs. We are always up for gigs, especially to new audiences and we are actually looking for some indoor club gigs over the winter months since the festival season is coming to an end so let me know if you have anyting coming up....

Edit: Fixed quote. Paul

In my case about 53 (counting doubles and box sets as separate) not sure how much less than that qualifies as sane though

Err, same here.  26 FC albums, according to the harddrive.  I hadn't realised I'd got that many!

1.   Who are you and where are you from?
I'm Robert Lehrian from Pittsburgh, PA.

2.   What made you join Talkawhile?
A fine place for camaraderie and information!

3.   What do you know of Fairport Convention and/or Cropredy if anything?
I was first introduced to FC in the mid-'90s by the good blokes at Paul's CD shop in Bloomfield (a Pittsburgh neighborhood). Long a fan of blues and Dylan, The Band, etc.. I wandered into the store one morning to hear Sir Patrick Spens - and have been hooked ever since!! Still haven't made in to Cropredy but it's on the bucket list.

4.   What kind of music do you like?
Blues, jazz, rock...

5.   What was the last gig/festival/recital/concert that you attended?  What was it like?
It was a Tom Petty gig with a bunch of friends. Fun, spur of the moment summer concert.

6.   What was the last CD that you bought?  Would you recommend it?
Festival Bell, actually.

7.   Complete the following sentence:
“Tonight, Sir Robert, I am going to be my all time favourite singer ……. (name of singer) and I will
sing:  ' ................................'   (name of song)
Too many to choose from, Sir Robert.... and I'm afraid it's best that I do not sing. Not now, not ever...
