I came across it by accident while driving with my Simon and Boatboy (who was probably just 3 at the time) and a small lump that turned into theNeff.

From what I can remember it was a very small gathering then, but it was still very friendly and with a fab atmosphere.

But that's all I can remember. (Pregnant porridge brain you know Roll Eyes) Grin

I was there.  First time Richard had played with the band since he left, according to the announcement from the stage.  "See what we'll do to get him back" quipped Simon.

It was a great day as I recall.  The Theakstons flowed freely!

And me (& my sister, who developed the taste for Theakston's bitter and fell hopelessly in love with a certain Mr Chris Leslie...)

I was there, and if the old brain cells are working correctly seem to remember it being cold and wet.

I vaguely remember watching Richard & Linda's set from under my Dad's huge cycling cape to avoid us all getting too soaked. As with the two previous Cropredy's (78/79), I just wish I could remember more...just vague impressions and being pretty thrilled that the band hadn't really split up. Think they might have played John Lee (or maybe I just remember some guy requesting it over and over again...sounds like certain members of this board Smiley).

Was the 1980 reunion in the same field as the 1979 Farewell concert?

Indeed, they did - the set list is on Expletive Delighted, of course.

Again, according to that site, they were both at Pewit Farm (spelling wrong on Expletive)

I was there along with her indoors and several other suspects who were there this year!

We did just the same things then - get a pint...watch a band....go to the bog....get a pint......forget to get the wives a drink....  Now however we have to go to the bog more often. But the jokes from the stage are similar, nay identical in some cases.

I do have some phots of Richard and Linda etc in the rain but they are under the bed (authorised Kodachrome storage method  Shocked ) ....may scan 'em in if I can get to 'em.
