Yes, I can confirm that Spanfest will be an annual event.

Hi Peter,
We really enjoyed Spanfest - this is very good news! - please can you let us know if it will be the same weekend/wonderful venue next year?

Has there been any official mention of whether this is intended as an annual event or if it was 'just' a one-off....I presume the economics of this event will have a lot to do with the answers given.... ?

Hi David,

Yes, I can confirm that Spanfest will be an annual event.

See you there! Smiley

All the best, Peter.

Excellent news - will definitely try and make it next year...

Read back through the thread - one of the organiser's suggested there was a good chance of it happening....it's also Span's 40th next year, so I reckon they'd be mad not to....

No it's not.  That's 2009.

I'll still be there next year, though!

Anybody notice that some of the most disturbing scenes of death and torture, from "Witchfinder General"- a film that was on TV tonight- a classic horror and English Civil war tale- lots of even more fairly gruesome death and torture scenes- "shocking" for it's time- was shot in Kentmere Hall, home of the first, and of course, certainly not the last of one hopes, many a "Spanfest". "Murder ballads" or what......

I don't mind that weekend as it falls after I've broken up from school - any earlier and I wouldn't make the first night.  Bunking off isn't an option!
