i have just been reading Vic Reeves autobiography "Me:Moir" and there are no fewer than two references to Fairport (pages 166 and 204) in which he claims they fitted in with his twin fascinations of "history and the countryside". The band seemed to have had a big influence developing his musical taste.

i know this is a fascinating fact so I thought I would share it with you.

Well now, Vic Reeves just went up several notches in my estimation Smiley Clearly a man of discernment Smiley
