Jaxon played the Brasenose with David Cross a couple of years ago - they were really good - most entertaining!

David Cross?
The one who played fiddle for Crim or the much travelled centre forward?

There's a mahoosive Peter Hammill/VdGG article in the latest Prog Mag (Peter on t'cover)

Goodo!  Cheers for the heads-up.  I'd love to see Peter Hammill/ Van der Graff at Cropredy but they'd probably clear the arena!  Except for me, you & Angie Spangle (& probably Chris & Sandy - but they don't go to Cropredy any more...

Cheers,

Slippy  Cool

They've been announced for Beautiful Days the following weekend. I shall be there..

I am SO ****ing in for this.  Oh yes, yes, thrice yes  Smiley

And maybe the price was the thing that was wrong with it?  It does seem very reasonable for a set that big...

I think it was pulled on instruction from Universal because both HMV and Amazon had jumped the gun putting it up for pre-order prior to the official announcement. It's now back on HMV for £10 more than it was previously and on Burning Shed for a very reasonable £120 including a postcard signed by PH, Hugh, Guy and Jaxon. Release has been pushed back to 3 September.

Copies with signed postcard had already sold out when I looked at Burning Shed site at around midnight!
Not to worry, I have ordered the standard edition and am very much looking forward to its arrival in September.
It is indeed a Killer track list!
Haven't seen any more information on the vinyl LP reissues as yet.

Well done David!
I think it is great that the signed postcards were available at no extra cost.
I am sure many artists or, maybe more likely, marketing type people would see an opportunity for an extra few quid.
I think the box is very fairly priced anyway and am looking forward to its arrival.

It's ludicrously well priced when you look at some of the other stuff around.  Glad to see David Jackson was involved with the signed postcard too...thought he might have been excluded (apologies for going on about something you missed).

No Problem David,
It's surprising how many interesting issues are being released at the moment.
VDGG,Caravan, New Electric Muse, Rare Bird, Patto and now Help Yourself.
This is usually a fairly quiet time of the year too!
Hope you enjoying South Uist.
