Just stumbled across this version of the Hen's March and the Four Poster Bed by the mighty Dubliners in 1980. John Sheehan's the only one left now.....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GpL4Lol2OY4 |

Fab it is , but for me the Cropredy 87 version with the Full House ( except RT but plus Jerry) line up beats everything , especially in terms of fun |

Isn't that the '74 lineup (except Sandy but plus Simon)? |

Brand new interview with Dave Mattacks, on playing with Paul McCartney, Elton John, XTC and Fairport Convention. So articulate, insightful and always interesting!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vG-pacEhhsQ |

What a great interview! Thanks for posting. I'm particularly pleased that he straight-up confirmed my observation that his drumming became more spare over time. He says he doesn't like his drumming on Liege and Lief because it's too "busy." He says he learned quickly to play to the song, and that less is more. He says he has learned "what not to do." |

After a quick but unsuccessful search of YouTune I was wondering whether you might be able to help me. I’m looking for a Maart Era recording of Spanish Main. From my research I think it was played live before Chris Leslie joined the band and rewrote the lyrics ? Definitely played at Cropredy 1996 before Maart left. Anyone? |

I'd be surprised if the 1996 Cropredy performance isn't out there somewhere, aurally if not in video...having said that I don't think I've got it. |

In memoriam: David Eric Cyril Swarbrick (5 April 1941 – 3 June 2016) or, as we knew him, Swarb ! Kudos to whoever put this montage together for Cropredy 2016, presumably Nev Bull. |
