Several videos from Croppers '17 are up on Youtube.

Super video and audio quality.

All those who railed against the screen(s) should see these videos, which would not exist without them.

Sloth is great.

14 great videos even Jim would enjoy.

These really are remarkable, aren’t they? Soon-to-be definitive live versions, for YouTube at least.

The OGWT Archive channel comes up trumps once again - this time it's the Rosie/Nine line-up with Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and Brilliancy Medley from 1973:

https://youtu.be/H0oI30mq3kU

Brilliancy Medley is the same clip which appeared on one of the OGWT compilation DVDs some years back, but I don't know if this performance of MMLaJ has ever found its way out of the archives before.

Quite a few other (non-Fairport) goodies have been added to this account recently as well, so it's definitely worth keeping an eye on (before it gets taken down, as I doubt it's 100% legit).

RT has put up two tracks from his new cd '13 Rivers' on YouTube.  Very good they are too!

Hmmmm.  I'm a little underwhelmed if truth be told.  Both could be from just about any electric album from the last 25 years, couldn't they?

The vocals on The Storm Won't Come seem a little weird to me (in a production sense).  They sit out in front of the music (I'm not sure if that means anything but that's what my ears think) in a really weird way...and then when the guitar comes in at 3:50ish it just sounds like RT playing guitar as only RT can and does.  Awesome and jaw dropping, as always, but with no connection whatsoever to what has preceded it.

Bones of Gilead I just don't really like, I'm afraid, especially that "By the flesh of Gilead, By the Bones of Gilead" bit.

I'd love to fall in love, really fall in love, with another RT album, but it's been a long, long time.......about half my lifetime.  Then again, most of my favourite Fairport albums came out when I was still in shorts, so he ain't done that badly....  Cripes.  Undecided

Interesting...David, what would you think was the last really classic RT album? I’d have to say Mock Tudor, which I think was a fantastic concept album with some truly great lyrics. I’ve enjoyed all others to a greater or lesser extent, but Tudor is the one I play the most.
