Bangles songstress Susanna Hoffs' version of Bright Lights (1) , Time Will Show the Wiser (2) and Nick Drake's  One of These Things First (3)

Just stumbled across this version of the Hen's March and the Four Poster Bed by the mighty Dubliners in 1980. John Sheehan's the only one left now.....

Fab it is , but for me the Cropredy 87 version with the Full House ( except RT but plus Jerry) line up beats everything , especially in terms of fun

The Sandy Denny Project at Roots aan de Zaan Zaandam NL last Friday were fantastic.
I filmed several things and while it has no Fairport member, I would assume it is of interest.

It Suits Me Well https://youtu.be/oJFAh6RQOU4?feature=shared
No End https://youtu.be/ulM2NMnFx8w?feature=shared
Autopsy https://youtu.be/FnkGbmVvgPY?feature=shared
Fotheringay https://youtu.be/P-IWZDgZ54s?feature=shared
The Sea https://youtu.be/CEORUzTm4gE?feature=shared
Who Knows Where The Time Goes https://youtu.be/36SEG7NTnX4?feature=shared
White Dress https://youtu.be/vNEGyjj9ubE?feature=shared

On my Roots aan de Zaan YouTube page there, you'll find tons of 'souvenirs' from the 103 gigs we did so far. The newer the iphone, the better the quality, as these things go. But I am glad I captured something from most gigs.

Specifically, each one of the 103 concerts has its own page at my website, with relevant pics and clips. https://rootsaandezaan.nl/concert-archief/ (yet to update the Sandy Denny Project page!) … click on the poster for details of each gig.

Brand new interview with Dave Mattacks, on playing with Paul McCartney, Elton John, XTC and Fairport Convention.
So articulate, insightful and always interesting!

What a great interview! Thanks for posting. I'm particularly pleased that he straight-up confirmed my observation that his drumming became more spare over time. He says he doesn't like his drumming on Liege and Lief because it's too "busy." He says he learned quickly to play to the song, and that less is more. He says he has learned "what not to do."

Anybody done a comparison between the album and his playing on the L&L Cropredy set in whatever year it was...2007?

After a quick but unsuccessful search of YouTune I was wondering whether you might be able to help me. I’m looking for a Maart Era recording of Spanish Main. From my research I think it was played live before Chris Leslie joined the band and rewrote the lyrics ? Definitely played at Cropredy 1996 before Maart left. Anyone?

I'd be surprised if the 1996 Cropredy performance isn't out there somewhere, aurally if not in video...having said that I don't think I've got it.
