Has anyone else stumbled across this weird and wonderful band? Witty lyrics, beautifully sung with wonderfully original accompaniment. And they live in Northampton, not a million miles from Cropredy. They remind me of the wonderful Helen Chadwick who ploughs a similarly esoteric furrow.

They used to host a regular musical evening at the Racehorse Pub in Northampton, consisting of two to three local acts all for an entrance fee of around £3.

They are really good and very amusing.

I would heartily recommend them to anyone.

"Therapy for the morning after" is a great song.

Anyone who can write a song called Madalini's Aversion to Small Talk Had Become Really Rather Extreme gets my vote.

As does the lyric,

You've a house full of unfinished things,
Half an inch oh shampoo in a dozen containers
I laugh!
What chance have we?
If you cannot see
When something's as good as empty.

What chance have we?

When I met you I found you astounding
So promptly behaved like a moron around you
Oh God!
Why am I me?
Why can't I just be
A bit less inept socially.
