That's her, with the fluteystick...

I had one, but the company's internet watchdog wouldn't let me click on the link (naive fool that I am, it didn't even occur to me that a spammer would bother with the relatively small catch proffered by the Fairport list).  So I replied to the email instead.  Haven't had anything back from that though - unless it's been caught again by the anti-spam software.

To Mix and Denjack (and any who self-categorize): I understand that people change their e-dresses and don't think of informing anybody who lists the previous one: life's too short to be that diligent. The e-mail management company Northshaw have already started to return to me those redundant edresses the system automatically throws up and I will delete them as I go from the master database here: please feel free to resubmit your new information via the FC website "Contact Us" page in the normal way if you move house or change your ISP at any time. It's not to say that an amendment now will result in a current addition to the numbers receiving the reminder of the forthcoming Wintour I'm planning to send out before Feb 1st mind. I'm sure all of you reading this now have already decided whether or not your mid-winter plans include some time in the stalls of the Uttoxeter Gaumont!
And thank you Colin for explaining the role that aweber has in this.... If they have a bad name in some quarters it is because the Herald is being blamed for the Message.
Heraldically Yours.

Like Andy I deleted the e-mail instinctively as it looked like spam. I'm not happy giving my e-mail address to a client of a client of Fairport's, so will just carry on reading the web site which I hope will contain a copy of the same newsletter.

Andy F and Ian N have come under a lot of stick on the List, but I won't repeat anything here. Needless to say, I think that Simon has done the right thing to head off any runaway criticism here, and made it it a lot easier to make up our minds objectively - Widds, Donna and co will, I'm sure make relevant posts on the List.

I don't pretend to understand this technical spam mularchy but I do know that any company that has the tag line "Specialists in relationship building marketing solutions" on their web site deserves a big slap.  Smiley

It's great receiving an e-mail from Fairport today! I thought it well presented, very informative and very much 'alive' with information and links. I assume this is as a result of them asking us to click on that link which started this thread?  Huh

I'm with you MM. Delighted to see DM play again.

As to why, no idea but time is a great healer.

So, we've got DM, Swarb, Nicol & Pegg. Can we now please have Babbacombe Lee? Pretty Please. Pretty Pretty Please *insert grovelling smiley here*

And 2007 is the 40th anniversary......
so, with luck, a double-bill of Fairport on Friday & Saturday night....when past-Fairport traditionally take the first of these to celebrate the back catalogue - and DM would be a must now, surely.

I reckon this year is just a rehearsal.....

Yep! looked well dodgy, deleted.

Looking forward to sitting in the stalls 'though, but at W-S-M, not Uttoxexeterwhatever...
