Got Oxford on my list.  Also got High Wycombe on my list.  And, for some reason, I seem to have Swindon, Milton Keynes, Leamington Spa and Northampton on the list too. Shocked Shocked Shocked

Hmmm... I've just tried to book for the Roadmender, Northampton, on 27 February and been told that tickets are not yet on sale because "we're waiting for the band to sign the contract and do the paperwork" Huh.   The theatre has no idea when this will be sorted out and when tickets can actually go on sale.

...also there is funding turmoil at the Roadmender so everyone will want to know that things have stabilised before parting with your 'hard-earned'... hopefully this will be sorted out soon

It might seem strange to most of you guys, but I'm heading south on 25 Feb... to the Sage in Gateshead.  Only a 520 mile round trip, oh well at least its nearer than Cropredy.  Methinks we better stay for the weekend.  Anybody know of any good hangouts?   It's a long way from anywhere way up here.   Smiley Smiley

That's a major breakthrough for an English folk-rock band to appear north of the border. Have FC ever been to Scotland - someone is bound to know Smiley

This is the second time that they've played Celtic Connections - and they played the Renfrew Ferry two years ago in the acoustic guise.

I'm sure they played Dundee or Perth in the last few years too.

are the armenian dates for the fairport 3 or the full band?
i hope they go a bit smoother than the last couple of tours
which must have been fairly disastrous from a fans/promoters view

Yup - looks as there's a spare date on 27 February.

The Northampton centre ceased trading and liquidator BRI Business Recovery and Insolvency appointed.

Yes we have seen them a few times up here - on the Renfrew Ferry (one of their best by far!), earlier this year at Balloch, in Edinburgh a couple of times and in Ayr some years ago (particularly bad night!) - oh and at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow too. There are usually a good few people at the gigs too! We are so delighted to see them in Scotland as for many years we have travelled to Yeovill to see them on the winter tour! Grin

Clearly the answer is yes they have ... BUT NOWHERE NEAR OFTEN ENOUGH !!!

We used to get regular visits back in the seventies & even in the late eighties (I have particularly fond memories of a splendid gig in Kirkcaldy in 1989 - I think - with Maart waxing lyrical about playing in the Elbow Room folk club in his Bully Wee days) but in the last few years, since Chris & Gerry joined opportunities to see FC in Scotland have been far too few.

Looking forward to the visit to Celtic Connections though.
