I've had an unusual (for me, at least) 3 gigs in 5 days. All good, and quite different.

Steeleye Span in Exeter on Wednesday night were excellent - it's the first time I have seen them with Athena on violin.

On Friday evening we went to see Gilmore & Roberts in the tiny Church House in South Tawton - an ancient stone building with probably no more than 50 of us packed in for a totally acoustic concert. No amps or mics. They did a great job.

And then last night we went to see The Unthanks (4 piece version) in Bude.  Despite a piano that was going out of tune as the concert went on, they were excellent as well.  The first time I've seen them but won't be the last if they make the long trip down here again.

Can't imagine Adrian was very happy about that!

Thought he was excellent at Cropredy , particularly the second time. RIP Dennis.

Agreed. Great rapport with the audience and a really enjoyable set. RIP Dennis.

Weirdly, I was under the impression that I'd seen him twice at Cropredy, but as we didn't start attending until 2004, it was obviously just the once, in 2012.

I do recall enjoying his set.

RIP

RIP Dennis Locorriere June 13th 1949 - May 16th 2026.

Members of this forum will remember Dennis' appearances at Cropredy. I wasn't there in 2012, but I remember his set in 2003.

A bit of a wild card booking, nobody really knew what to expect, but he surprised a lot of people and was very well received.

Dr Hook were a fixture on the cassette player of my parents when I was in my teens…my sister and mum saw them in Hereford Leisure Centre and I was luckily there at Cropredy both tines…Very sad news.

I think if you like Bert Jansch....well, you can judge for yourself  Smiley

Great stuff.

I'm a fan.

His dad and I used to play music together when we were at uni.

That's good to know, Rory  Smiley. It will be interesting to see how his talents develop....
