Sad to see this, but it looks like they'll be around for a little while yet. I hope they play near enough to me on their upcoming tour(s)

Phil is 70 today, and Steve only a year younger, so it's not really that surprising, and it sounds as if Phil has lots of recording projects either started or that he wants to do, and the touring is getting in the way (reading between the lines).  I guess at some point anno domini catches up, and you realise that you can't put these things off forever, and always think that you can do them next year...

Credit to both of them for lasting so long and finding a way of keeping it going so successfully for so long. Their own way of promotion and their professionalism has stood them out from the crowd.

There are two tours (the latter as a duo only, "except when they have guests"), a cruise with Seth, several festivals and at least one album yet.

Not so much a goodbye as the beginning of one.
