Title: Mera Royle
Post by: Bingers (Chris) on August 12, 2018, 10:09:13 PM
Anyone remember this young performer from Friday? This very natural and very talented 16 year old did a brilliant job in rubbish weather and a difficult slot in the line up. I thought she was excellent but nobody seems to remember her

I do remember her and liked her.
But I think it would would have been better if she wouldn‘t have called the band out.

Also her remark about her teacher that must be almost over 60 years old and ist still so much active made me smile

I thought she did very well, despite the rain, and it was probably a good idea for her to bring the band with her, as 40 mins of solo harp in the rain wouldn't have done too well.  She could have played a bit more on her own though, as she is obviously very talented.

I enjoyed her set, but had to laugh at the 60 year old comment...  blimey... soooo old!!

I wonder if she really had any idea of the demographic of the crowd she was playing to?
Stil - full kudos  to her, young and relatiely inexperienced performance-wise, having to play a "graveyard shift" slot with pouring rain to boot.

I thought she did really well. Probably a good idea to just do a couple of numbers on the harp and then bring the band on. They certainly have a future.

I was fearful of how she would cope,  first up and huge field, but I loved her. I was impressed by her stage presence and confidence, one small person with a harp! But the fun and joy of extreme youth was so refreshing. I wish them all a great future.
