Nothing more there, though some press reports say RT played on the recording. Nice.

Just watched the video on youtube - I have never been a great fan of the song (probably through over-familiarity), but THIS is the real deal. Off to download it now, and I urge everyone to do likewise. Great musical and choral arrangement, but the video...

If you don't find yourself smiling :) through damp eyes :'( as the video progresses, I'd be amazed!

We have just over 24 hours to influence the Christmas singles chart. If you have not yet downloaded Streets of London, please consider doing so right away. To those who have done, thank you. All streams, downloads and CD purchases between last Friday and tomorrow (Thursday) midnight count towards Friday's chart. It won't make number one, but every penny spent goes to help Crisis help the homeless. And you get a great song. It's 99p per download and £3.99 for the CD. For streaming, download and purchase links, see http://www.ralphmctell.co.uk.

Heard it for the first time on Radio 2 this morning. A great rendition of a timeless song. It made me sad to think that the problem of homelessness is getting worse and worse.

Once upon a time we went to our local record shop and bought a 7" vinyl record over the counter. This week in 1974 'Streets of London' was No 6 on Top of the Pops.

Nowadays life is a tad more complicated...

It's so visible as well. I pass a beggar on virtually every street corner in the city where I live. Govt must be blind to it, or wilfully ignoring.

Reply from Crisis:

Sorry to come back to you so late but I’m still waiting to hear back about the Half Moon gig.  As soon as I do, I’ll be in touch.

Re The Streets of London single,  we won't be in a position to count royalties until the record label does its accounting in late March.  There is also the question of monies from PPL, and the figures for this won't be available until June.

Will be in touch when I know more…
