A very decent set from Iain Matthews and co. - good, honest tuneage, highlighting gems from their "Reinventing Richard : The Songs Of Richard Farina" album.

Very good - the third part of the 'old FC' trilogy on Sat morning.  I will have to give the Reinventing Richard CD another listen, as it hadn't grabbed me before, but I liked the songs better live.

Enjoyable melodic set.  Just realised that the last time I saw Andy Roberts was with Grimms (Neil Innes, the Scaffold etc) at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.

I found this very agreeable and enjoyed Iain Matthews vocals in this set and at other times.

Can’t think of many better ways to spend a warm afternoon than listening to well written music being performed by musicians on the very top of their game.  And that was exactly what you got here; a really enjoyable set and one that made me go and by the CD (would have preferred it on vinyl but I guess I can’t have everything in life).

Sorry for me they were just plain dull

This was the freshest set of the weekend for me because, shame, I've not come across them before.  Great musicians combining together to make excellent music.  Bought the CD, got the autographs, first thing I wanted to play when I got home.

Same here, much better live. The Amelia Earhart album was my starting point for all things Fairport, so it was great to see them at Cropredy. Also had a quick chat with Iain at the signing tent.

Hi Darren - I've PM'd you ... hope you get it.  I was even in the queue for the signing of the CD and didn't see you!

You're clearly a man of good taste - you get it from your Dad!

I quite agree, I was actually blown away by his vocals.

I love Plainsong and thought they were wonderful! I'm only disappointed they played in my hometown on Friday as it means I won't get to see them live for at least another year.

Loved them, and hearing Raider sung live brought back so many memories of my youth!
