Title: Beer

Mark, since you live just down the road and look a fit lad, do you run in the Grizzly at Seaton? Loads of my club are coming down for that and staying in one of the nicest areas known to me.

Some of our lot (Almost Athletes, Cheltenham) - not me, sadly, maybe next year - also coming down for the ale run; seems to be a bit of a running/music thread developing - the Welsh Castles relay passes Maart's house (nearly).

Tell them to look out for Sandhurst Joggers - we're dressing up as Charles & Camilla!

Hi Andy,

Sorry, no I don't run in the Grizzly - I don't get out enough... Tell me more?

Do you ever enter into the local raft race? That's a little wild and hard going.

And what about the Ottery St Mary Barrel Burners? That really is good'ol Wild West stuff! We often get called woosey southerners, well I’ve not heard of anything like the barrel burners fest occurring anywhere else in the UK? Do you know of anything similar?

Mark

Mark

The Grizzly is held starting in Seaton, see http://www.lmrbean.plus.com/avr/events/grizzly.htm We're not really raft people, but if you supply details I'll see if I can rustle up a team. :)

Burning the barrells? "Burning the Clavie" in Burghead is the nearest I've heard of that, see http://website.lineone.net/~cathm19/

Is that all the Scottish could muster? I would have thought they would have something a little more wild? ;)
