www.foundfestival.uk Late August, a lot of good acts, although no indication of who's on when as yet Title: Re: Found Festival, Bucks Post by: Tasha on January 10, 2025, 09:11:24 AM That is indeed a very interesting line up!
Title: Re: Found Festival, Bucks Post by: David W on January 10, 2025, 09:20:56 AM £215 general admission is a bit hefty though
Title: Re: Found Festival, Bucks Post by: hendo (Dave) on January 21, 2025, 08:36:36 PM £215 general admission is a bit hefty though I think it’s the going rate for fests of thst size . Quality lineup….. Title: Re: Found Festival, Bucks Post by: kenhughes on January 22, 2025, 09:52:27 AM £215 general admission is a bit hefty though £15.05 fee every time you add someone for a general ticket (£210) £35 per person for showers. They are not free at this festival. £22.05 fee for a campervan (!), and the campervan pitch to add to that is £100! So, if you want to go with a campervan on your own and have showers: £382.10 If you are not using a camper van, it is £25 on top of the general ticket to park (no where near your tent) The same deal at Cropredy (he states the obvious) is £282 Title: Re: Found Festival, Bucks Post by: David W on January 22, 2025, 10:16:22 AM £35 pp for showers is totally disgraceful - they deserve to fail I'm afraid.
DW Title: Re: Found Festival, Bucks Post by: fat Billy(Bill) on January 22, 2025, 03:11:23 PM Its next to the claydon estate

DW Maybe they hope to win the "smelliest festival " award? £35 for showers is way OTT, IMHO Title: Re: Found Festival, Bucks Post by: Dan O. on January 23, 2025, 09:59:19 AM Just clarifying this £35 shower charge - this amount covers 1 person having a daily shower over the course of the event, surely ?
Basically, a 3 day shower pass for £35. Or is it £35 per person, per shower, per day ? In which case, that's verging on criminal... It looks like a £35 charge for the festival - still pretty bad IMHO DW Title: Re: Found Festival, Bucks Post by: garrypbrooks on January 23, 2025, 10:31:27 AM Just clarifying this £35 shower charge - this amount covers 1 person having a daily shower over the course of the event, surely ? Or your missus, for that matter. Title: Re: Found Festival, Bucks Post by: kenhughes on January 23, 2025, 10:32:50 AM The line up has been announced and is pretty good, maybe a bit Cropredy-lite.
"As much space as you want to set up a proper family camp with no restrictions and no desperate dashes for the best space" A bit of a dig at elsewhere? You still cannot park next to your "family camp" though. I wish them luck and look forward to hearing from people who go, see the pictures and to see whether the cost is worth it. They may create a vibe that means it becomes more than the sum of its parts, like you know where :-) Bear in mind Tier 2 Beardy tickets are only £175 and early bird prices were great. That is for 4 days as well. Is it fair to compare them? Looks like a great line-up to me. The early bird rate was much better (took it) they are effectively a size-limited Towersey. if they have similar events and facilities to last year - we'll find it worth it I had never really tried ceilidh or argentinian tango before, but we have carried on with the tango locally and will be at most of the ceilidh the arts and crafts events were similarly great. Learnt and carried on using lots of interesting things. Nettle tea anyone? Just been to Cropredy again (and loved it) i'd find the price comparison - for all the other things you can do in the morning entirely proportionate. (certainly paid more for less at folk by the oak) I'm not sure but I think they took a tiered approach to pricing re the showers it's definitely for one person for the entire period. we decided the some of £5 solar water heaters from Aldi & Shower tent were very competitive - and we use them again... I was chatting to one of the organisers? last year - they seemed to have to put a lot of work into getting the free ones to work reliably, so I don't have an issue with the principle of charging for decent ones |
