Just noticed this post, sorry for late reply but I've been really busy and thought the forum was coming to a natural finish but no problem. I am just packing the gear up for the weekend so here's a quick reply: on stage for the Imagined Village I have a Fylde Cittern tuned g/d/g/d/g, a Takamini guitar in standard tuning, a Ovation 12 string with a drop d tuning. These all go into a Line 6 Vetta Amp with a foot board control that can call up a whole set of customised amp/delay and effects settings for each instrument at the push of a button. In the Afro Celts I also sometimes have on stage a Line 6 Variax sound modeling guitar and my fav guitar of all, a really old Tokai Breezy Sound Telecaster that I brought back in the early 80's for under £100. I also have a mandolin and bazouki, I tune both in g/d/a/e and a thing I call a tenor cittern (mini cittern) made by Marshall Stapleton often tuned 'gadad' or 'gadae'. I had an endorsement deal from Line 6 for a while to road test their gear seeing as I was using such a wide range of guitars and stringed instruments on stage. The sound system side of things is much more complicated involving a whole set of midi gear running live (mpc 3000, Akai S3000, Abelton live on a lap top, a Makie 8 Bus Hard drive, a Yamaha sub mixer for the percussion and midi drum pads, and a thing called a 'bonsai drive' that has all our AV clips synced up by time code to the Makie 8 bus). It's a very complicated stage rig but when it works it's amazing and hopefully we'll have a hassle free gig this weekend at Campbestival. I believe some of the TAW folk will be at the festival so if you haven't left yet and are reading this please feel free to come up to me, say hello and buy me copious quantities of beer and I will happily spend the rest of the days talking a load of old flannel.
