I have sleep apnea which means I have trouble sleeping and breathing at the same time. We've camped the last two years and I survived but I'm more and more dependent on my CPAP machine which keeps open my airways while I sleep. I have my tickets and a 3 day camping ticket. Is there any way I can get a connection to the electricity in our tent? CPAP machines, while very small and quiet, don't work from batteries.

My question is about access to the camp sites on the Thursday. What time will they open this year, and will there be a 'holding' car park or will we be able to get straight in if we arrive about 9.30am?

Hello and thank you for organising the highlight of our calendar.  Once we have arrived on the campsite and set up the tent are we then able to move the car from the site and return later (some of us don't do camping and would like to pick up the rest of the party from the B & B!!!)

right, when i first started going to Crop a few years back there was a fire by the canal (small bridge bell pub end)
did the fire service or H&S stop this one??, ??? it was great for sitting around and chilling to afterhours  ::)

I remember in the early years of my attendance at Cropredy people would have fires by their tents and occasionally in the arena. This was stopped at Cropredy around the same time as all other festivals stopped allowing fires, due to the very serious risk of tents going up in flames. (I think Glastonbury is the only festival of its kind that still allows camp fires.) Its a shame but its a perfectly understandable policy and one that people really have to stick to. Tents in festival arenas are packed much closer together than in regulated camp grounds (even with the fire lanes that are put in place now) and the camping areas are not equipped with space for a fire. Also, people have more alchohol, etc at festivals than on a regular camp ground. This invariably raises the stakes when fire is involved and frankly the potential mixture scares me these days - I stopped going to Reading festival in the eighties after witnessing the fire-related follies of a group of drunk and drugged idiots pitched near us. I appreciate that Cropredy and Reading are a world apart in terms of festival but would still hate to think of anything like that being able to happen again.

Hi , We are looking forward to our 21st Cropedy this year, thanks for all the fantastic work you put on to make it possible.

For many years we have taken our caravan into the Caravan field to the left of the arena which is ideal for us as my wife has Arthritis and the the arena is so close.

As Carole's Arthritis has worsened over the years we try very hard to get in spot on opening time to get in the first row or two so she doesn't have to struggle up the hill so many times over the three days.

Is it possible to reserve a space in that positon or come in early as a disabled person?? We often find that the first few rows are taken up before opening of the site.

Hi,  This is our first cropredy and we were wondering where the best place to camp would be.  There are four of us, myself, partner and our 2 children, aged 5 and 3.  We will be camping in an old volskwagon camper and are unsure of the layout of the festival.  We would like to be near the main arena as our children would be unable to walk very far.  Thankyou.

This is really in the hands of the Sports Club manager.  Last year it was Friday afternoon.

The answer is yes, something can be done, but there is a very limited amount of space that doesn't involve hills. So requests like this must be handled individually.
