Hello Christine and Tracey!

Thank you for doing such a great job.  Cropredy is the only festival I have ever been to, but quite frankly I have been spoilt and would not consider going to any others!!

I would like to ask how you go about selecting the food stalls.  The choice is always good, and I wondered whether you have to visit other events to suss out the competition, and whether you get to eat lots of free samples!   We are a mixed group of die-hard fry up fans and semi/complete vegetarians and we usually all manage to find something to keep us sustained (apart from beer).

We do miss Potato Moon, though.

Further to the previous question from Claire. What happened to the Real Sausage Company? They supplied all my festival catering needs, breakfast, lunch and tea!

So disappointed to discover they weren't there last year.

My wife and I aren't particularly fussed about alcohol, and last year there didn't seem to be any variety in the choice of soft drinks (which was a real bugger as it was so hot) - all the stands that sold them appeared to be selling exactly the same narrow selection. Are there any plans to widen the choice this year, perhaps offering those multi-drink fountain things that dispense Coke, Sprite, Tango etc?

Also, will there be a wider variety of food stalls this year? The 2002 selection seemed much better than 2003.

In seriousness Gareth, as the the keeper of two sproglets this is a really good point and also even the biggest 6X fans need to rehydrate from time to time.

Would it be possible to have seperate drinking water taps. We refilled water bottles from the hand washing stations, but it was getting a bit unhygenic around them, the number of people who were playing with them.

Going back to the drinks question, there was a stand doing a nce line in smoothies last year (about half way down the field on the opposite side to the bar).  I don't think many people managed to find it.  It was quite pricey, but very refreshing in the heat!

Will that one be making a return, or perhaps something similar?

It is so nice to make people happy and this message is for Cocker Freeman.  The Real Sausage Company will be back at Cropredy Music Festival this year.

We di go to both Cambridge and Womad last year to try and find different caterers but everyone appears to be quite content with the selection chose

Please feel free to bring in as much food and drink as you want or nip to Tesco.

Due to the temprary water fittings we never recommend thta you drink the tap water without boiling it first.  Really it is for hand washing.

The caterers tend to change the menu according to the weater.  It's their trade and they know best.

A few years ago I'm sure that I read in an article that the price of food at Cropredy is monitored, and anyone considered to be overcharging (ripping us folkies off >:() is politely requested to lower their prices, or leave.

Was this ever really the case?  And, if so, does this policy still hold true?

Hello again ladies.
Has anyone ever thought of offering an ice pack refreezing service? We could have really done with this last year.  All it involves is a big freezer. Everyone brings their own ice packs (with the owners name on them) from cool boxes etc, that have thawed out. They are refrozen overnight and the owners pick them up again the next day, paying say 50p for the privilidge. Its a good way of making money for charity. Lots of campsites offer this service and it seems to work quite well. The Cricket Club would be an ideal place for it.

Yes, we like to be kept informed.  If you consider this to be applicable with any of the traders let a steward know ON the day so that we can at least give verbal warning - it is just greed.

Need to think about this one - location/available power/overseeing, etc.  Any volunteers?

Speaking as an engineer, that's not nearly as easy as it sounds. A domestic freezer wouldn't re-freeze even a modest number of blocks over night. You would need something industrial and then you are gambling on it being hot.
