This doesn't appear on the gigs list on the FC site yet, unless I am being more dense than usual, but it seems our heroes are headlining Saturday night at the 2nd Moseley Folk Festival in Birmingham on Sat 1st Sept. Swarb's Lazarus are also on the bill, as well as Davey Graham and Tunng.
Lots of goodies on the Sunday too: http://moseleyfolk.co.uk/line_up/2007/
Sounds like a very pleasant venue and a nice way to spend the last weekend of the school holidays!

Sorry mods: just noticed that this is mentioned on the list of festivals on  "Music Festivals"; however, it doesn't appear to have its own thread. Please remove if irrelevant.

No, no, dear AnneT.  A bit of cross-referencing, underlining and marking with a highlighter pen in the  Fairport Convention area is a jolly good thing.

Thank you.

just checked the website - travelodges at Broadway Plaza and Maypole still have rooms for both Saturday and Sunday nights. Both are a short (~15mins) bus ride away from Moseley Park. http://www.travelodge.co.uk

There's also the cheap and cheerful ETAP hotel on the South Side of Brum City Centre - that has rooms available too. Much cheaper than the travelodges but not as easy to get to and from the festival site. http://www.etaphotel.com

I'm planning on being there on the Saturday - I guess I'll see a lot of you...
