Johanna said "Stagemanager Simon did a great job. It was hard work to get all the people onstage in time, because everybody was chatting backstage. And having some drinks  "

Was frantic but fun!!!!!
Ta for compliment

Steve Gibbons has the ability to disappear in a nano-second!!!!! How does he do it.
Roger Hill has to be the "gentleman" of the evening.......what a lovely person

Now I'm done messing about with piccys of the gig and trying to get pics of fireworks out of various windows in the flat....

WOW!!!!! What an amazing gig!

I'd be hard pushed to pick a particular favorite bit of the evening - it was all so fabulous but Beth N-C was amazing... DH's Birthday song was really cool.... Ian Anderson was on form... and Steve Gibbons had me howling with laughter - I was very impressed that he managed to keep things going so well whilst he regained his composure!

It was great to meet up with a few people for a beer or six too.

All in all... fantastic weekend, great company, and a brilliant gig

It really was a memorable night.  Beth Neilsen Chapman's "Solo" followed by a wonderful, understated "Rising For The Moon" by Dan ar Bras has me reaching for my handkerchief.  Really moving stuff.

Indeed, "Rising For The Moon" made me heartfelt and teary and full of wonderment

and David Hughes' Birthday Song for Peggy had me grinning like a billyo, and I didn't even pick up all the words!  Grin

A fabulous evening!

It was a wonderful night, with several artists who I've never heard live before. Every set was memorable.

I thought that Steve Gibbons was joking about having forgotten the words until about halfway through that song about an ugly woman. It was really funny, and he recovered his composure amazingly well.

It would be nice if anything recorded could be released. Even as an audio download if it wasn't up to scratch as a commercial release.

I look forward to next year's "70th", which I too believe is more than a jest.

Yep. I heard, from a reliable source, that he didn't want to know the lyrics until he played it either. He'd just heard a demo of the music.

I trust Mr Hughes' clever lyrics will be made available somehow?

I hope "bus pass" was used with the obvious rhyme.  Grin Grin  Grin

T'wasn't me miss! That nice Ollie posted the initial link but I'm glad I could provide somesort of record of such a spectacular event. I think it rates as one of the best gigs I've ever attended!

I only managed to get tickets fairly last minute too - eternal gratitude goes to Grace Palmer who ended up with a couple of spares Smiley
