In respose to an item on this morning's Saturday Live on Radio 4 which suggested that countries with the shakiest economies had the most complex national anthems, one Simon Nicol of "rock supergroup" Fairport Convention e-mailed the programme with the perspective of the touring musician - the strongest economies tend to provide the softest toilet paper.

(The chaps also got a namecheck a couple of minutes later when the programme turned its attention to Glastonbury.)

Alternatively I could have imagined the whole thing....

Must be a true e-mail and not a spoof, just the sort of wise statement that only our Mr Nicol could put into meaningful words (Nice one Simon!  Wink)
