Peggy, why ain't ya coming to the USA? Was it something I said? I'll buy you a taco! C'mon!!

The following from P.J. Wright's web site might help to explain it:

"As an aside, being on tour together has given Peggy and me a chance to start assembling material for the duo gigs we will be doing in June and July of this year. The show will be called 'A Night Off With Peggy & PJ', a title which I think gives you a clue to the nature of the entertainment"

Something different to look forward to.

Spring Tour dates now up on http://www.fairportconvention.com/gigs.htm

Hmmmm,  weeks spent driving in a van across the States or weeks spent in a beautiful French farmhouse, taking the opportunity for some much needed rest, relaxation and counting of Jethro Tull royalties ( Wink) - I iknow what I would rather be doing!!

You have asked the same question, several times. Maybe somebody will answer, maybe not.

If someone answers, I'll stop asking!

Edit: Actually, you will just stop asking. Colin

Gilbert W, I don't think anybody here knows the answer to your question, no matter how often you ask it.

What a shame the utterly revoltin Gilbert W declared his hand so soon.

Things have been very dull around here since the Anglo Finn took Yobb to court. Btw are you actually let out or was the Greenfinch your version of the Birdman of Dartmoor!!

You'll have to try a bit harder to understand the ambience here, obviously. Take a look around, especially to the introduction to the board and then perhaps you'll understand that your persistent repetition of a question is considered just plain rude, here.  Angry

I'm a little disappointed that they're not playing the Birchmere when they play the DC area, only because it's a really fantastic venue.  However, they're playing two places an hour from DC (Rockville and Sykesville), so I think I can live without seeing them at the Birchmere  Wink   And the place they're playing in Rockville is supposed to be great.  I missed them last summer, so I'm really looking forward to this summer.  Sure, I'd love to see them with Peggy, but, it's all good.

So (and this goes for the US tour as well)....why Pegg-less? Cry

Ooh yes!   I will be seeing them in Cleveland in June!  And no Peggy?  Ah well, I refuse to complain - it's not often we get to see any of them around here! Wink

This was posted to the Fairport email list this morning - I believe you are allowed to quote a few lines for 'review' purposes, without infringing copyright....

"couple of fluffed moments but nothing worth laboring on, a setlist comprising a couple of covers and a very good selection from the entire repertoire"

But he did post a few photos here

I'll do my best!  Wink  I hope The Winchester allows photos.   I just read the posts on the Wintour regarding taking pictures -  I think I need to call the hall and ask.   Shocked
