Guide price in the Estate Agent's particulars. Basically some kid in a double-breasted pinstriped suit stuck a finger in the air.

Really? All I can see is the "Guide Price  GBP 750,000"  under the picture on the website. The Brochure has the same figure.  What am I missing? ???

Don't worry Bob, I was just about to hit "Post" with the same question when I realised it was 3/4 and not 3-4.

It's about the right level of price for that sort of cottage in that sort of village in Oxfordshire... and the thatch won't need redoing for another 30 years or so :)

There goes my idea of retiring to the oxfordshire countryside. 8)

Maybe we could form a co-operative and run it as a recording studio with accomodation thrown in for while people are working there............?
then perhaps we could do B&B during a certain week in August too.....................?

Looks like it doesn't include 'The Ledge', so it is a 'semi'.

Having said that it is in effect two houses, so the price doesn't look wildly high.

Now there's an idea. 3644 members. £206 each, job's a goodun :)

Count me in. Although by my calculations your one week time-share will come round once every 70 years, so can I have an early slot please?

Wouldn't hold your breath...."There is planning permission to convert the Chapel into a four bedroom house."

Sadly, there's probably more money in property than recording in this part of the world.

Right - if I win squillions on the Eurolottery (yeah, right...) I'll buy it, and keep it as a recording studio.

Light bulb moment!

We set up a TAW lottery syndicate! Guaranteed success  ;D

We could then get a lottery grant to keep it going as part of the nation's heritage. Sorted.

Well, not too surprisingly, I managed to match just 1 paltry number, so my dreams of becoming the Phil Spector (only without the guns or the daft wigs) of the Oxfordshire folk-rock belt are put back in the box.
