Hi Baden, lovely to meet you Smiley
I'm no expert on travel prices, but I used to travel from Plymouth to Cropredy, until this year. (Further south west than Bristol even) Roll Eyes

I always found that National Express coaches were the cheapest way.... long journey, but cheaper than the train!

Hope that helps,
see you at Cropredy Tiara

At last - a fellow irishman - what part are you from Huh?? This is coming from the edge of the Co Antrim coast.............listen closely and you can hear the Irish Sea

We do Cropredy by ferry either to Scotland  or to Liverpool , and drive down. You can get a cheap flight into the London airports and take a train to banbury. we prefer to drive 'cos we can pack more ale into the back !!! It's difficult putting crates into a rucksack.

Hello John!

Welcome to Talkawhile!

It shouldn't cost a lot to get from Bristol to Cropredy. As Mix says, National Express could be the thing. Only thing is, it's likely to take you to BIRMINGHAM, first, then back down to Banbury - and then you aint far from Croppers itself. Worth checking out with a National Express ticket office, or online, though.

See you at Cropredy, mate. Don't forget the fez! But if you don't want to wear one, that's okay, too.
Just look out for the harmless nutters in tiaras/fez at the bar, and you'll soon feel right at home Grin

National Express Bristol to Oxford takes two and three quarter hours, runs twice a day once at about 10.00 and and once at 4.00pm

For Cropredy its then a short train journey to Banbury and a bus to Croppers.

Look art flights to Birmingham rather than Bristol - then a very quick train ride (30 mins or so) from Birmingham International to Banbury.

If you take into account all travel costs this may well be the cheapest way to go.

Hi John

If I wasn't so busy I'd give you a ride from Porthmadog (a bus ride from Holyhead). See ya there

Just as well he's teasing Keith otherwise I think Maart might need a coach to give a lift to all those who would want to travel down with him  Roll Eyes
