I am not comfortable with the idea of "begging".

In fact, I have considered Simon's post/email as a marketing message rather than a plea.

Cropredy is so important that I would drink warm lager there if it was the only beer available!

Perhaps "begging" is the wrong term, but it did sound a fairly desperate "marketing message".

As to drinking warm lager, I think you may be in a minority there!

Couple of US online stores (spinmeround and offwhite) showing a price of $179.99 - release date 26/7/24

Definitely top of my "must buy" list for this year...

Probably not an awful lot different with the figures having a £ sign in front of them too...

And potentially lose all the attendees they already have in the first place?  There's a strong danger of oversimplification here, I think..

They're already losing attendees hand over fist or they wouldn't be begging people to attend and bring a friend.

Towersey have jumped on that and taken advantage. However, good luck to them and long may they continue.

Now that really is desperate

And now Frank Ifield...the Cropredy connection being Stackridge, who used to perform "She taught me how to yodel".

I thought he had been brown bread for years.

String Driven Thing : The Machine that Cried (Esoteric CD,  2012).

This is rather good, although the CD sounds  somewhat bright.  Interesting  sleeve essay.  SDT were another band who had stuff to offer but never quite got the credit they deserved.

Love them. Saw them get 6 encores once in the seventies.
