Hi,

I'm an Italian big fan of Fairport, I don't succeed in finding from any part the cassettes or CD  "A.T. 2 / The Boot" and  "The Other Boot / The Third Leg", You knows someone who  can sell me her or even,  if possible,  made me the copies of the CD.

I'm Sorry for my english

You could try contacting Fairport through their official website, http://www.fairportconvention.com

Please bear in mind that all concerned are now heavily involved with the run-up to Cropredy and that response may be sluggish.

Best regards - and don't worry about your english. It's much better than my italian!

Doh! Sorry Simon!   Embarrassed

If it's okay by you I can make copies of AT2 and The Other Boot available for Planxty, as he requests.  Grin

Drop me an email, Planxty (click on the envelope below my picture) and we'll sort it out.

An Italian called "Planxty".... grand stuff! My old Irish mother would laugh at such a nice idea. Now the Sistine Chapel... that'll be 500 euros and two coats of the finest white emulsion.

Whoops. It turns out that my copy of "The Other Boot / The Third Leg" is imaginary. Or at least it isn't where I thought it was. (I've found AT2 and let Planxty have a copy of that.)

Anyone able to help Planxty (and me!!!) please drop me an IM.

I only have cassettes of these and would love to magic them into cds, but don't know how, and am too scared to play them anymore in case they disintegrate.  Likewise all my Whippersnapper tapes. Is there any way to copy tapes to cd that is not too complicated or expensive?

I now have a source for "The Other Boot / The Third Leg" which I will supply to Planxty. Simon said to me that, in such circumstances, he always asked the recipient to make a charitable donation to the face value of the item, were it available. So I will happily do the same. Drop me an IM with your address and I'll sort them for you under the same conditions. OK?

As to copying cassete to CD, I suggest a separate topic is started. I'll attempt to run through how I did it when I did do it. If that makes sense...I'm a little knackered.

See here for a topic on creating CD's from cassette.

It's in the Corporation Arms, as that's the most appropriate place, I think, so anyone wanting access will have to apply here and be over 18, sorry.

I do, Andy, but I was waiting to hear if you managed to find the AT2/The Boot set first.  I'd kind of like to hear them in sequence.  It's a librarian thing!

It would be great to see these reissued. Talking elephant?  And the video tapes of cropredy on dvd would be fantastic.

Amen to that - I can't think of a release programme I'd welcome more.
