Copied from FB for those who don't use it and might have known Mike. The following has been copied from Ed Frost page Michael ERWOOD 'Mike' Mike passed away peacefully in the care of Sobell House and surrounded by his family, on 4th March 2024. He was the much loved husband of Moira (Gainey) and an adored Dad to Katherine. A loving brother to Tony and John and dear friend to many. Amongst many things Mike may be remembered by the Cropredy Festival community for his many years of service, at ‘Moira's Gate’ (backstage), each year at the festival. Fairport Convention as a band, and the Cropredy Festival crew, has always adopted a wide circle of family and friend and Mike was certainly considered one of these. Mike's funeral service has been arranged to take place at Oxford Crematorium (St John's Chapel) on Wednesday 27th March at 1.00pm. There will be an opportunity to make donations in Mike's memory for The Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust and/or Sobell House at the funeral service, on line via www.eddfrostanddaughters or by post c/o: Edd Frost & Daughters Family Funeral Directors, 14 Canada Close, Banbury OX16 2RT. Can we please ask that this notice be shared in the usual manner in order to inform as many people as possible of Mike's recent passing and of his forthcoming funeral arrangements. Thank you.

I had mine published in the first book. I suppose this is a great way both to get content and to be assured people will buy the book. Win - win for the publishers.

Reading about Gerry in various places and his p!aying with Tull, Joan Armatrading etc it occured to me how he, DM.and 10cc drummer Paul Burgess have ploughed similar furrows. Was Burgess ever in line for the FC sticks does anyone know?

Nothing on here so far to commemorate the 21st April being the anniversary of Sandy Denny's passing. Here's a Scattering The Roots Sandy Denny special edition I put together in 2018, featuring some of her best work with Fairport Convention, Fotheringay and solo, taking in excursions with The Bunch and Led Zeppelin : https://www.mixcloud.com/DanOgus1/scattering-the-roots-sandy-denny-special-24-04-18/

I might just be able to get it on, but then I wouldn't be able to have anything to eat or drink...

38" chest would fit. Just... BUT, if it's shrunk at all over the years, I'd be permanently be breathing out (while the people around me breathe in... )
