Saw a wonderfully intimate Iain Matthews show tonight at the Cactus Cafe in Austin. This was Iain's only new world date before he returns to the older one.
He played a solo set with acoustic guitar, followed by a second set with accompaniment on electric guitar and keyboards from some skilled cronies dating to Hamilton Pool and Iain's residency here. All wonderful - he's in gorgeous voice, as usual.
Afterwards, I asked if he will be at Cropredy 2012 (45th anniversary, what what). He said no one's invited him yet...

Iain also has two live dates listed for September in the US..... one at a small record shop in Bordentown, NJ
