One more time with feeling

« on: March 27, 2007, 07:35:54 AM »

Morning people!
I have been trying to track down a copy of Sunnyvista - which is turning out to be harder than i thought it would!
I watched a Japanese one go on ebay for £13 and there is one in the uk on there with 11 bids and 7days left for £20. does any one know where a cheap copy is?!
thanks,
Olly.

Join the club - I'm after CDs of First Light and Sunnyvista and no joy so far.

I am lucky enough to have picked these up when they were out on Hannibal about 10 years ago.

However, I think I remember seeing a quote from RT himself (but don't hold me to this) saying that the copyright on these two albums had reverted to him and he was hoping to reissue them at some point. Patience may therefore be called for.

I sure hope he does reissue them.  I've heard tell he can't locate the master tapes though.

My copy is ported from my old LP, I could really do with a 'proper' release as well.

There are several videos of Richard & Linda performing songs from these albums on YOUTUBE. The clips are from a 1982 tour of the States. DM and Simon are providing tasteful backing. I can't name the bass player though. Also Sunnyvista with Peggy on bass from 1980.

I haven't checked the clips but Pat Donaldson played quite a bit of bass for Richard around that time....

Yes. He did didn't he. I can't remember him wearing glasses. Great bands RT had in those days. I'd like to see an RT retrospective at Cropredy one year. I havn't played these 2 albums for ages. time to look them up again.

I've still yet to hear either First Light or Sunnyvista due to their out-of-printness.  Any idea whether these two albums are considered fair game for trades or not?  I know they are commercial releases, but they're not commercially available, and I'm very keen to hear them somehow.

Could be Pete Zorn - he played bass for them around that time.
