It's Philippa Clare, who I think managed the Fairports at one time.

I was right at the front and remember being pretty damn mesmerised myself! Could she maybe have been slightly refreshed?

Cheers Ed. It's a fascinating video because of the hints it gives as to the much smaller scale of Cropredy back then - the stage seems to be barely six inches off the ground! It's a shame that there aren't more wide shots giving a better sense of scale to the field etc.

It was MUCH easier to get reasonable shots of bands etc with something less than a 300mm lens in them days, as the stage was fairly low and the punters could get really close. But this worked both ways - one drink too many and a performer could be close to landing among said punters! No names......

Er well one potential audience diver wrote a well known song subsequently reworked as a dance tune by Muckram Wakes under the title Boulevards of Belper.

Another has been seen at Farnsfield Acoustic.

It's all a very long time ago......
