Title: Feast of Fiddles news
Post by: David W on October 14, 2022, 11:08:18 AM
October 2022
Plans for our Spring Tour in 2023 are advanced with all dates now confirmed and posted. The small matter of accommodating a company of 15 people on the road is now exercising minds. Nothing escapes the rising price cycle we seem to be in. Our hotel bill is looking like it will be 50% up on 2022. Needless to say this means we could do with a tour full of full houses!

From the FoF site, some interesting news about CL

DW

The Backline band P.I.G's new album has been well received and copies can be obtained from this site here as well as the band vinyl compilation album release. No Fiddlin' is notable for the lack of fiddles - not so Tunes So Good which is choc-a-bloc with fiddles!

Chris Leslie has decided to take some time out in 2023 and following the Fairport tour earlier in the year he will set about making fiddles again. This means he will not be taking part in our tour next year. The good news is that Marion Fleetwood has joined the band as a permanent member following her debut tour this year so the Feast will be as fulsome as ever. We're all delighted!

All the very best and please stay safe folks.

This is what "10%" inflation looks like in practice.
