No, Alice wasn't officially announced until the Wintour was well underway IIRC...

They are leaving it a bit late.

Most of the line up had been announced this time last year.

Thursday headliner was announced 7th Jan?
If I remember rightly?

Worried people might have cancelled

Why worry? Beautiful Days or Cambridge haven't announced anybody yet!

How dare they?
Nah, I didn't mean worried, intrigued is probably more appropriate

Alice was officially announced at midnight on 9th/10th January.

(Davidmjs unofficially six hours earlier - 'Am I allowed to say 'Alice Cooper' yet? No?  Ok, then... ')

But there were still a few more added afterwards.

And I got severely punished for my sins by the 'powers that be' as well.  But if anyone else was paying attention someone else announced him (via a, er, 'slightly tipsy' member of the band) weeks, if not months before that...

A post on Facebook today made it seem like Thursdays headliner hasn't been signed yet.

Wilko Johnson seems to still be adding shows....maybe Cropredy could get him. Big Audio Dynamite would be great too; but they have seemed to have gone quiet since the reunion shows a few years ago(which is a shame as I was waiting for the deluxe edition of No 10, Upping St., but that seems forgotten about now). Has Fish ever appeared on the same bill as Marillion? Home Service perhaps? Playing the guessing/wishing game is fun; but I can't wait for the official announcement when it comes.

But sadly unlikely. Gryphon are touring this year. Not Thursday headliners though. Now, Madness....

I have always wanted a Wilco or Son Volt appearance at Cropredy, maybe Wilco could bring RT along as he jammed on Sloth with them last year.

At the High Voltage festival in 2010, I saw Fish talking to some to fellow punters, and he ended the conversation by saying 'I've got to go and see Marills...' who were headlining the Prog Stage that day. (Which was a bit of a bugger for prog fans as it clashed with the even proggier E.L.P on the main stage). There was a rumour that he would guest with them, but I don't think he did.
I can remember an interview in print about the possibility of a solo Fish/Marillion concert, which may have involved Fish opening,Hogarth Marillion next, and Fish returning to the shoal to do Misplaced Childhood to end it all, but I don't think it actually took pla(i)ce.

They played Market Square Heroes together (sans H) in Aylesbury market in 2007.

I'd very much applaud this choice but, as it has been mentioned before. They've been tried many times before and have always said no.

I was at High Voltage in 2010. I was standing right up front for Marillion but left before their set ended so I could get over to see ELP one last time. If Fish would have played with Marillion I would have kicked myself(hard) because I don't believe there turned out to be much overlap between the end of Marillion's set and the start of ELP's.

Yes, you're right, Marillion were scheduled to finish at nine, E.L.P to start at eight forty-five, (I have the laminate 'programme' thing in front of me),so fifteen minutes, give or take time to walk from one end to the other.I went for the E.L.P option, as it was my one and only chance to see them.

Marrillion AND Fish would be my worst nightmare (well almost Wink). Whereas Wilco and Wilko would be a blast.
