Sad news indeed.

I would like to add my sentiments to those expressed to his family, and to the respective members of Fairport of course, who also share this loss.

That's very sad news. We saw Rob at Cropredy in 2007, striding through the field looking totally in control of the situation.

49 is no age to go. My condolences to his family and friends.

How desperately sad.  I had cause to have a few dealings with Rob about 6 years ago and he was absoluletly delightful and ever so friendly whilst being 100 per cent professional and efficient, even when I was making far more work for him than was absolutely necessary!  A great loss indeed....and surely one of the key reasons for Fairport's longevity and continued success.

Very sad,

Condolences to his family, in time I hope it will help to reflect on how much pleasure he helped to bring to so many people.

If each of us could bring 1/100th as much pleasure the world would be a wonderful place.
