On the FC mailing list, Steven Pearce posted the following link, important enough to repost here:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=wZggFpIyOKE

Thanks to Steven.
My! Fotheringay doing Too Much Of Nothing, excellent quality. I knew it existed but somehow never managed to actually see it, this is great.
Youtube.com has got excellent stuff, it's mentioned in the last MOJO too. Nothing Fairporty otherwise yet but if anyone has stuff to share ... I have videos but don't have a clue how to put it there let alone how to edit it.

Anyway enjoy Fotheringay  Cheesy

Thanks, Koen.  That's superb.  Great to see Sandy enjoying herself, too.

There are tags attached to the video - similar to headers on email - that are generally hidden, but can be seen if you know where to look....

I've seen a list, but can't access it at the moment....sort of 'interesting'....

I bought a fotheringay video boot on ebay. ( I'm sure it is evil, but I want more more more. I am a completist archiving collector) It has three songs. I'm not sure if that was all of them, but there are at least three.

And here's a nice one for any other fellow Beatles nuts out there who are also a bit into Python.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=8w7dA4eXzwo

I actually ave the track somewhere on a Harrison bootleg but I've never seen it :-)

You can have a feast with this. Pink Floyd with an obvious Barrett-going-downhill on Jugband Blues ... Badfinger, whom I've never seen a clip of ... the video which got me into Deep Purple as a 16-yr old which I've only seen once - in 1984 (Perfect Strangers) ... wow. Addictive.

Anyone out there who would know how to edit from an old (PAL-) VHS tape and put clips on there? I'd happily send over a tape of mine with Fairport stuff to share.

He's living in Canada - last heard of a few years ago playing with the musical circus Cirque du Soleil.

Really? I've always worshipped his amazing work.

I wouldn't argue with his production skills, just he was the one responsible for the Fotheringay break-up. He was never really interested in Fairport as such, just in Richard, and then Sandy. So as soon as Richard left Fairport, Joe didn't want to be involved. Similarly with Fotheringay, his master plan was to turn Sandy into a solo star so he kept on at her & eventually persuaded her to split the band and try to make it on her own. They were almost ready to put out a second album at the time, with stuff like Eppy Moray, Gypsy Davey, John The Gun, The Plainsman, so it seems a shame not to have given them more of a chance.
