I know Simon put out the 2 solo albums but has he ever done a solo tour?

Plenty of duo gigs.

The first time I saw any of Fairport was when my fellow-students at Westfield College had Simon as the very first guest of the college's newly formed folk club. This must have been spring 1981. He had yet to come across the mainly fairly somber material found on his two solo albums and I remember it as being a rather jovial gig - almost Digance-esque one might say  ;)

I'm starting to wonder if this is the only solo gig that Simon has ever performed ...  :-\

No I saw him at a pub in London at the same sort of time. I can’t remember any other details unfortunately.

However he did very recently support Thea Gilmour (I think!) in Canterbuty in a solo capacity I’m sure.

Damn it ... I rather liked the idea of being part of a tiny elite  ;D
