It's all a bit shoddy on the web site isn't it. Fairoport? ...puts me off a bit. Probably buy it anyway 'though, after pay day.

Ooooh lucky you! I remember now, seeing his name listed for a signing session at the CD tent. Wish I had investigated at the time. *sigh*  Roll Eyes

Do we know what it's got on it. I know it's instrumental ballads from 1980 onwards, but do we know what tracks are on it?

I'm not clear on whether these are the original versions or new solo re-recordings...

FC's website refers to a "new retrospective CD" featuring material compiled from Ric's extensive repertoire. Make of that what you will!

I shall buy it in any case, because there are tracks on there which I have never heard before. Embarrassed Roll Eyes

Checking the Talking Elephant link on the FC site answers the question, I think...

"RIC SANDERS
'STILL WATERS'

This new album features the playing of Ian Anderson-Jethro Tull, Gordon Giltrap, John Etheridge, the entire line-up of Fairoport Convention and many more. The album includes Fairport classics such as Port Merion but draws on his wide range of playing right across the full spectrum of the music industry."

So a comp of the original recordings, then.

3 (can't remember which) were re-recorded with the Ric Sanders Band, the rest are original.
