Title: Ticket!
Post by: Mister Keith on March 11, 2011, 10:19:35 AM

And my 3D ticket just arrived in the post - with a rather fetching photo portrait on it!  Lovely top hat, Chris....

Am I allowed to be excited now?

How can you know? They might have only just started dispatching them (likely, no one reported before today that they'd had theirs). They may have sent out 000's, but Jim booked relatively early?....

You need someone to book now, and get their number to get even a modicum of an idea....

Well, I'm 1644 and I booked on the morning they went on sale.  At 8:18am to be precise.  So if they'd sold 8% of the tickets in that time, that might not be too bad.

well, that was about an hour after me, so if they are going through them in that order they're doing quite nicely
they do have until mid august so i dont expect they are too bothered yet

Ours arrived today.
The envelope was open and the contents were spilling out.
Fortunately everything was still there.

Coincidentally 1644 was also the year of the Battle of Cropredy Bridge!!!!

Sounds to me as a local postie close to the ticket office thought they were tickets to a big festival - maybe they thought they would sell them on?....until they realised that they'd never heard of Cropredy!

Maybe worth alerting FC?

Mine open as well, along a perforation on the envelope by the looks of it.

A very quick jump there Chris. It's also entirely possible that some of the tickets have been sent in envelopes from a faulty batch. Probably still worth contacting the office but I don't think you should start pointing fingers just yet.

Although I said I probably wouldn't be going, I relented as I couldn't find anything else to fill that weekend with.

Booked my ticket on 3rd and they arrived yesterday (envelope perfect) No 2264

Bought at Beautiful Days last year.
I wanted one but was holding back to see how the money went and they'd sold out when I went back to the stall.

The people who fill the envelopes might be annoyed by that term!

Oh dear.Bit concerned now.
Speaking to my neighbour last week, turns out he has had birthday/Christmas cards sent to him that were not delivered -as have I, along with recorded delivery items posted through the door that I haven't signed for (even when I'm sitting right by the window and he can see I'm in!), and stuff too big for the letterbox thrown over the gate - which includes l.p's marked FRAGILE which end up with damaged sleeves and a concert programme which landed between the fence and shed that spent three weeks in the rain before I found it as a single lump of pulp. The local post office seem annoyed that I dare to complain and the complaints proceedure is another whole post in itself. As this should be a happy thread I'll shut up, besides which it's half four in the morning and I'm going back to bed. ^-^

Tickets arrived in nice sealed envelope, numbers 2682 & 3. Don't think displaying the car sticker before the day is a good idea though, letting the world know when your away from home is just plain crazy!
