Title: RT 2023 UK Tour Dates
Post by: Dan O. on March 22, 2023, 05:30:51 PM
At last, an RT tour, haven't seen him since The Palladium, November 2021.

Don't know if this is solo or with a band, but my cautious money's on solo...

June 2023 :

18th Edinburgh Queen's Hall
19th Newcastle Tyne Theatre
21st Cambridge Corn Exchange
23rd Wolverhampton Wulfrun
26th Brighton Dome
27th Bexhill De La Warr Pavilion
28th London Alexandra Palace Theatre

Shall we have a sweepstake on ticket prices? ;) ;D

Well, didn't he once say, half in jest, that once he reaches 70 he officially becomes a living legend and can double his fee ?

Hasn't Mr Pegg been known to say, again half in jest, that they can only afford him for Cropredy every 5 years ?

If the tickets are north of £45 for a solo (+ Zara Phillips for the last 1/4, probably) gig, then I'm out...

We will see but what are the touring costs of one man and his guitar?

I think they were more than this last time out weren't they?  I'd be flabbergasted if they're not (more).

Somebody on the RT/Fairporters Faceache page has alerted me to the Edinburgh show already being on sale @ £44.50 or £34.50, and they seem to be selling like the proverbial freshly-baked buns. So if the Brighton show is similarly priced, I'm back in...

Cambridge is 36.40, Ally Pally 52.15 (higher costs at the larger venue?)

In the scheme of things, I think this goes down as 'reasonably priced' which is surprising and pleasing.

Wolverhampton is £37.15 (£32.50 plus fees), not as stratospheric as I was expecting. Haven't been to the Wulfrun for a good few years so I may well go for that.

Tried to get those £37.15 tickets through See Tickets and the best seats it would offer were row W, literally seconds after they went on sale. Went through axs in the end and got front row stalls although at a higher price, £99.40 for a pair including £14.40 'fees'. Have to say we were very tempted not to bother, that's getting pretty close to the point where I bail out I'm afraid.
